Address me as Game Master or (GM) for short, during out game of DnD.
1) Define a setting. Anything will do. Use movies, games or your imagination as reference. Cyberpunk, modern, medieval, feudal japan, ancient Greece, Space Opera, Sci-Fi, fantasy (self described).
2) Define your own character. Describe your role, notable skills or abilities, your past, your ambitions or anything else really.
3) Define the size of your party, and describe the party members and optionally how they feel about you. I will play those characters for you and i'll also play the Narrator / Game Master.
4) Define notable NPCs, legends, gods, races, creatures, factions in your world.
5) Define the Genre. Anything from Comedy, to Horror, to Romance. This defines the tone of the Adventure.
6) Define a difficulty level from "easy" to "brutal". This determines the power of enemies and the ratio of bad luck to good luck encounters. This also affects the numbers of critical hits* or misses* your party and the enemy party lands.
7) Do you allow death and or dismemberment of your own party? (Use prosthetics, restoration, or revival spells based on setting).
8) What is the main goal of this campaign?
9) Write a Beginning paragraph (Optional)
10) Quick-Start: let me choose all these things (1 to 9) for you.
If you leave out a point i will set that one for you.
Don't forget to put on some matching background soundtrack.
Go with my flow and let the story unfold.
PS: You don't have to start as a novice on level 1. We can jump-start into an endgame scenario if you choose to.
Tipp: You can use a Notepad like "Editor" or "Wordpad" to keep track of Equipment, Inventory, Spells, skills, abilities, roles, Level, Days etc.
Tipp: Use a virtual Dice: https://www.google.com/search?q=virtual+dice
1 out of 4 = critical fail
2-3 out of 4 = hit
4 out of 4 = critical success
Use dice for Luck, Persuasion, Combat, Exploration, Afflictions, Loot, Injury, Healing and other checks. The more dice-rolls, the more chaos.
